Muscat
The main commercial destination, reached via the Buraimi or Sohar corridors.
Several crossings, very different distances — northern Oman is a short hop, Salalah is a serious long-haul run.
Road freight from the UAE to Oman uses the Hatta, Al Wajajah (Al Ain–Buraimi) and Khatmat Malaha (Fujairah) crossings, serving Muscat, Sohar, Salalah and Nizwa as FTL or LTL. Northern Oman is often a same-day or next-day delivery; Salalah in the south is a considerably longer haul.
Crossings used: Hatta and Al Wajajah near Al Ain and Al Buraimi for central and interior Oman, and Khatmat Malaha from Fujairah for Sohar and the Batinah coast.
The main commercial destination, reached via the Buraimi or Sohar corridors.
Closest major industrial destination, particularly short from Fujairah.
The long southern run — plan on multiple days of driving.
Interior towns served through the Al Buraimi corridor.
Coastal industrial and commercial deliveries north of Muscat.
Project and industrial cargo to the central coast development zone.
The crossing you use should follow the destination, not habit. Sohar and the Batinah coast are shortest from Fujairah through Khatmat Malaha. Muscat, Nizwa and the interior are usually best via Al Buraimi or Hatta. Choosing the wrong crossing adds hours of unnecessary running, and on a part-load that shows up directly in the rate.
Salalah is a different proposition entirely. It is well over a thousand kilometres beyond Muscat, and quoting it as if it were another Omani city produces a rate that will not hold. For non-urgent Salalah cargo, a sea leg is often worth comparing against the truck.
Border formalities are lighter than the Saudi lane but still decisive. A clean manifest, a certificate of origin where required and specific goods descriptions are what keep an Oman-bound truck moving. Vague descriptions get inspected.
Return loads help. Oman is a reasonably balanced lane in both directions, so round-trip or backload pricing is often available and worth asking about if your shipments are regular.
Cross-border trucking from the UAE across the Gulf, all available as FTL or LTL.
Loads for Oman can start from any emirate — the origin affects both the routing and the rate.
The driving is normally under a day. Door-to-door transit depends on border processing and the delivery window at the consignee, so a next-day or two-day arrival is typical.
Khatmat Malaha from Fujairah for Sohar and the Batinah coast; Hatta or Al Wajajah near Al Ain and Al Buraimi for Muscat, Nizwa and the interior.
Yes, but it is a long-haul run well beyond Muscat and is priced accordingly. For non-urgent cargo we will also compare a sea option.
Commercial invoice, packing list, export declaration and, for most consignments, a certificate of origin. Regulated goods may need additional approvals.
For Sohar and northern Oman, yes — the Khatmat Malaha crossing makes it one of the shortest routings available.
Yes. LTL groupage runs regularly on this lane, so there is no need to fill a trailer.
Send the load details, destination city and commodity and we will quote FTL and LTL side by side.
