Logistics & Freight Services in Dubai

Dubai has the widest choice of gateways in the region — and the most ways to overpay for freight. We price the routing, not just the rate.

Logistics services in Dubai cover sea freight through Jebel Ali, air freight through Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum (DWC), and road freight across the UAE and into the GCC. Cargo is collected from anywhere in the city, including Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor, Dubai Investments Park, Al Qusais and the Jebel Ali free zone.

Freight realities in Dubai

Dubai's advantage is choice, and choice is where money is lost. The same consignment can sail LCL from Jebel Ali, fly out of DXB on a consolidation, leave DWC on a freighter, or truck to Khalifa Port for a cheaper sailing. Each option has a different total cost once local charges, inland trucking and destination handling are counted. Quoting one option and calling it the market rate is the most common way Dubai shippers overpay.

Free zone status changes the paperwork, not the truck. A large share of Dubai cargo starts inside JAFZA, Dubai South, DAFZA or Dubai Industrial City. Moving goods from a free zone unit onto the mainland, or between two zones, is a customs movement requiring its own declaration. We file it before the vehicle reaches the gate.

Access is the practical constraint. Al Quoz compounds, Deira's older streets and residential towers rarely take a 40ft trailer. Confirming gate width, dock or ramp availability and whether a forklift is on site turns a difficult collection into a routine one.

What affects the price

  • Volume or chargeable weight — cubic metres for sea, chargeable weight for air, vehicle size for road.
  • Collection point in Dubai — access, dock or ramp availability and whether a forklift is on site.
  • Gateway chosen — the balance between the inland trucking leg and the freight rate from that port or airport.
  • Packing requirement — loose, palletised or fully crated cargo are three different jobs.
  • Commodity and HS code — duty, permits and any conformity requirement at destination.
  • Service scope — port-to-port, door-to-port or full door-to-door.

Frequently asked questions

Which port do Dubai shipments usually sail from?

Jebel Ali, in most cases — it has the widest sailing schedule and the deepest LCL consolidation options. Where an alternative gateway produces a cheaper or faster total result, we price that too.

Do you collect from anywhere in Dubai?

Yes: free zone units, industrial compounds in Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor and DIP, warehouses, offices, shops and residential addresses.

How fast can cargo be collected in Dubai?

Usually within one working day of confirmation, and often same-day for smaller loads booked in the morning. It depends on vehicle availability at the time you book.

Can you handle JAFZA and Dubai South free zone cargo?

Yes, including the free zone declaration and gate formalities for movements to the mainland, between zones, or for export.

Is DXB or DWC better for air freight?

DXB has more frequency and a wider network, so it suits most scheduled air cargo. DWC handles outsized, project and charter freight more comfortably. We check both.

Do you consolidate cargo from several Dubai suppliers?

Yes. Suppliers deliver to our handling point, cargo is checked against each packing list, and everything ships as one consignment under one document set.
